Blue With Envy by: Ellerysen

I have been working on my Rune-keeper's epic quest line lately. While gallivanting around Middle-earth I came across these 3 lovely outfits. I had forgotten most of the quests from my first run through on my hunter so these came as a surprise. Arwen is of course always in Rivendell, but I do not frequent there as much as I did in lower levels. I had forgotten how beautiful her npc's clothing is. I came across Isildur during a session play for Vol 3. I am more of a pretty dress girl, but this armor is spectacular! I especially love the cloak he is wearing. As for Gwindeth... Absolutely gorgeous and mystical! I am so jealous! Why don't we as players get this sort of thing to wear? I would definitely shell out some turbine points for something like this. Also her headpiece! Really a top notch outfit!  Anywho, Just thought I share these with you guys!

     Arwen                                          Isildur                                          Gwindeth

Masquerade Ball

Roleplaying.. Not really my thing, but I did enjoy myself at the Masquerade ball on Saturday. There was music, drinks, and lovely costumes! I was surprised at the turn out, we do not get many events like this on Imladris Server. I arrived with my new pal and fellow cosmetic lover, Candle, and we were shortly joined by my friend Bronwen in her awesome turtle costume.  Candle won 500tp for Most Colourful, and Bronwen won some gold and dyes for her epic turtle outfit! Congrats guys!

My outfit was quite simple. I really wanted to wear the Helm of the West-Tower, and the rest sort of just followed it. The Reveller's dress and cloak seemed to just fit perfectly with this helm. As well as the shoulder piece. I swear it was meant to be, but alas I did not win any of the contests. I did however make some great new friends! I met Faellindh(right) and Eladannen(left) at the Ball. They were dressed as a couple. Eladannen was the Thrill-seeker while Fae was the thrill, or at least that is how she put it. hehe

Here is a photo of Fae and I just getting off stage after showing off our costumes.
(Fae appears to be laughing, I made her laugh often that evening lol)

After awhile the party died down and it was time to go for me. I managed to get a lovely picture of other people with the same idea. (Walking away regally is a very roleplay thing to do! hehe)

All in all it was a great party, and I will definetly be attending more in the future.

Apparel Dummies

I Came across these apparel dummies in Michel Delving today. When you click on them it brings up the LOTRO store and directs you to a bundle that includes all the items on the dummy. The bundles range in price from highest 1295 to the low price of 325. Personally I own many of the items on these dummies already so I won't be purchasing any.

Hobo by: Heimsgard

Here is the outfit I promised you guys earlier. Enjoy!

Heimsgard the Hobo lives at an abandoned caravan in Bree-land.

He usually has a fire going, but tonight he forgot to collect wood for one.

So Heimsgard looks around and in the distance he sees an abandoned brigand camp nearby.

This is perfect!
Heimsgard settles himself in front of the roaring fire he made from the brigands leftover wood.

The Fashionable? by: Ellerysen

I wasn't going to post this outfit because I didn't really think it was blog worthy, but lately a handful of people on LOTRO have approached me and asked what it is I am wearing. So I thought maybe it is worthy afterall! When I first started purchasing Turbine points I was a huge cosmetic addict and spent a big chunk of them on the Ceremonial Ajokoira Armour and Leggings. They were the first real armor outfit that I enjoyed wearing. Most of the armor my hunter could wear at the time just didn't dye well and I didn't own any wardrobe slots to allow me to wear other things.

I chose these boots to go with the outfit because of the details on the sides. They kind of match the swirls on the thighs of the leggings. As well as the rust color on them really match the unknown color on the gold/yellow/rust? details haha This outfit looks great in the game!

Character Credentials: Race of Man - Female - Hunter

Shoulders: Lynx-Hide Shoulderpads, dyed White (Rohirrim Quartermaster, Galtrev)
Chest: Ceremonial Ajokoira Armour, dyed Black (LOTRO Store or Lossoth of Forochel recipe)
Leggings: Ceremonial Ajokoira Leggings, dyed Black (LOTRO Store or Lossoth of Forochel recipe)
Hands: Fingerless Gloves, dyed Black (Yule Festival Reward -Help the Poor)
Feet: Sturdy Elven Leather Boots, dyed Rust (Tier 3 Craft)
Cloak: Noble's Cloak, dyed White (Tier 6 Craft)
Mount: Treasure Laden Goat (Treasure Hunting event mount)

Another Story Outfit

I enjoyed making the outfit story so much that I decided we should make another one! But this time we will be asking you guys to vote on what we should choose! Leave your creative or classic ideas in the comments. I will choose 4 of your ideas to be placed into a poll for you to vote on. The idea with the most votes will be our next story concept!

Can't think of any ideas? Here are some mediums with which you could choose! Video Games, Movies, Tv shows, etc.

Please note: We will need a bit of time between the closing of the poll and the actual production of the story so don't expect it for quite some time! In the meantime there will be normal outfits posted randomly.

I think this will be very interesting and fun to do! Hehe

The Hunter by: Ellerysen

I chose to create the outfit for the hunter in the story of Little Red Riding Hood. I had an idea of what type of look I wanted for it, but it took quite awhile to come up with a top for the outfit. In the end I decided with the Disused Robe of the Dunland Soothsayer, a favorite Dunland quest reward of mine. The rest of it sort of followed the leggings and chest piece. Enjoy!

The Wolf by: Bronwen

I still don't have a lot of good choices for cosmetic items but the only thing I am not happy about is the shirt. It was hard finding something that was a close match to the head and shoulder items. (If anyone knows of something better that isn't BOA or requires a maxed out character to get let me know please! )

Little Red Riding Hood by: Bronwen

So far the only outfit I submitted was a fishing outfit so I needed to think of something else so I wouldn't leave Ellerysen to do this blog by herself. Unfortunately it isn't that creative because they majority of the pieces belong to the same set. Oh well, it still looks cute on a hobbit!

The Story of Little Red Riding Hood by: Bronwen and Ellerysen

This next set of outfits we will post focus on the story of Little Red Riding Hood.
(Each outfit will have its own post with detailed screenshots and equips list)

Little Red Riding Hood
Story Interpretation by: Ellerysen

Once upon a time there was a little girl who lived in a small village near the forest. She was very well known because of the little red hood she always wore everywhere she went. After a while, everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood.

One day Little Red Riding Hood and her mother baked some delicious pies. They baked so many pies their house was bursting with bilberry. Normally this wouldn't be a problem for two hobbits, but they needed somewhere to sleep. Little Red Riding Hood decided to take some pies to her Grandmother. Red's mother warned her to be careful in the forest on her way to Grandma's house. So off she went!

~Meanwhile at Red's Grandmother's house~
A vicious and cunning wolf gobbled up Grandma and put on one of her dressing gowns. (*I think the floating cat was an accomplice but I have no proof.)

Unaware of what she would find at her Grandmother's house, Red continued on. When she finally reached her house, Red opened the door and went inside.

Little Red was frightened for her life and didn't know what would become of her! All of a sudden she heard rustling in the forest and out came a hunter! Red immediately recognized the hunter, it was Ellerysen! Thankfully, Red's mother had sent Ellerysen to keep an eye on her.

So Ellerysen the hunter grabbed the wolf and made her spit out the poor Grandmother. She was frazzled by the ordeal, but thankfully still in one piece.
(The image for this part of the story was too graphic so it was cut from the final production.)

The hunter was victorious and defeated the big bad wolf! Everyone was overjoyed and Little Red yelled, "Time for some delicious pie!" So they ate until they were stuffed (especially Red), and they all lived happily ever after! (Except for the wolf, *she is now a nice housing decoration for Grandmother courtesy of the Bree taxidermists!)

The End!

Forgive me for some of the screenshot quality. They were all taken on the same computer, but for some reason a few of them turned out better than others. Bronwen and I really had a fun time creating this little scenario of outfits for you guys so please send feedback on what you thought! Big thanks to all those who helped us put this together!

Tiny Assassin by: Ellerysen

*Disclaimer: Had a lot of fun with this one so this post will have a heavy amount of photos.*

My most recent outfit is inspired by the game series Assassin's Creed. Personally I have not played these games much, but they're some of my boyfriend's favorite games. I enjoy watching him play them. The outfits for Altair and Ezio are really cool. (look for pictures of them below) I tried this look on my elf and my woman, but they just didn't pull it off like my hobbit.

From what I have seen of these games the main character seems to enjoy climbing and rooftop diving. As well as sneaky murderous attacks on unsuspecting victims. In my images I tried to capture the essence of an assassin, but in the cute form of a tiny hobbit from the Shire. So forgive me if she isn't menacing enough.

I'm back!

Sorry for the recent absence blame the Spring Festival! I was enjoying it so much I forgot to find time to create any new outfits. While enjoying the festival I also decided to create my 1st minstrel! She is a hobbit of the Fallohides. For the longest time I have wanted to make a mini because I love the glowing hand detail whilst in War-speech stance. It will be interesting to start making some outfits for my new hobbit! So keep checking our twitter feeds or here on the website. I am sure there will be some new posts to come!

Seeing as the contest entry deadline is today (might even be over by now) I will share with you my entry for Fields of Flowers for this years Spring Festival Screenshot Contest.

Gypsy Maiden by: Ellerysen

Found my old Wash Day Dress in my vault, haven't made an outfit using it before. It made me think of a gypsy maiden. So... Here she is!

Stangard Saviour by: Ellerysen

I've been kindred with The Riders of Stangard for quite awhile now, but haven't tinkered with the new Rohirrim Tunic and Trousers. There are a few dyes that look very nice on this tunic, such as umber and sienna, but I went with olive. For the obvious reasons of course, its close to the colors worn by the Rohirrim, but also olive is just so pretty in the game. I was slightly disappointed in this tunic however. If you look closely in some of the pictures you can see my pant legs are clearly poking out of my boots! Seems to be the only tunic I've come across that does this. Maybe it will be fixed in future. Other than that little hiccup, the tunic is a very nice addition to my cosmetic collection. I was also disappointed in the mount.. the green they used is a bit faded, but its beautiful nonetheless.

Lord of the Rings Medley

Performed by: Lindsey Sterling
A bit off topic in the fashion department, but still beautifully done. Had to share. =)

Rivendell State of Mind by: Ellerysen

I wanted to feature my new cloak in this outfit. I recently purchased the Cloak of the Ibis from the LOTRO Store and was inspired by it as well as the elves for this next outfit. When I first joined Lord of the Rings online I didn't know much about the books and movies. So when choosing my race and homeland I really had no idea what I was doing. So I chose a female Race of Man character and set her homeland to be Bree-land. As I played the game I became more and more interested in Lord of the Rings so I started reading the books and watching the movies. I found out that I really enjoyed the story. I also realized that I so wanted to be an elf! But, I am content with my female hunter.  I do play an elf rune-keeper from time to time though.  So to get to the point this is my female hunter in what I think is a nifty elven look for my hunter!

Fishing Outfits

Browen's Fishing Outfit

"Recently fishing has become one of my favorite things to do when I don't feel like leveling up. At the moment I have a lot of quests in Moria so it looks like I will be fishing...a lot. This outfit is pretty basic. I just used the existing fishing themed cosmetics that are available since at the moment I don't have any cool items for cosmetic use."

If you closely it appears that a fish is trying to nibble the hook that's on the end of the pole on my backpack.
I can even catch a fish while I am resting!

Head: Straw Hat, no dye. (Skirmish Barter)
Shoulders: Shoulders of the Eorlingas, default. (Isengard Preorder)
Back: Fisher's Backpack, no dye. (Skirmish Barter)
Chest: Fisherman's Shirt and Waders, dyed Black. (Quest Reward)

The Humble Hobbit by: Ellerysen

This is Personal Chef, named for her abilities as a yeoman, Personal is a very accomplished farmer and cook, but even though she is so talented she just enjoys the simple things in life. Good food, Good music, and Good smoke!

Return to Rivendell by: Ellerysen

While crossing the Ford of Bruinen today it hit me... I have always wondered what changes would take place in Arwen's style after living in Gondor for a time. So I devised a "Return to Rivendell" look for my elf rune-keeper.  This is how I imagine Arwen's style would have adapted.

The Ale Connoisseur by: Ellerysen

I wanted to make an outfit that was fit for spring, but also inspired a story behind it. So I came up with the "The Ale Connoisseur."

Elle has been employed by the Inn League to survey the land for competition. Elle sets out from her homeland of Bree to get started on this long and exciting adventure. Equipped with everything a true ale tester needs (a beer mug and tolerance), Ellerysen is ready to venture throughout Middle-earth to sample tasty brews from pub to pub! The first stop on her journey of intoxication, The Shire! To be exact, she is heading to Stock to drink up at the excellent alehouse called The Golden Perch. This is going to be a long and tedious journey for Elle. She will have to have a lot of downtime to recover from all these intoxicating and delicious brews!
